Promo Brand

Promo Brand · Apparel & Branding
Collaboration in the graphic design of unique workwear and promotional products since 2016. The tasks range from applying the visual world of existing brands to clothing and objects, through independent product concepts, and in some cases, creating a complete brand identity.

The task
Promo Brand creates custom workwear and promotional products for clients in a variety of industries. Every assignment comes with a different starting point: some have a detailed branding system, others just a logo, a few colors, or a basic idea.

The task is to create a clothing and object appearance from these that fits the brand, the given product and the applied production technology. The product range ranges from T-shirts, shirts, sweaters, jackets and aprons to caps and technical sportswear and numerous promotional gifts.

My own role
As a graphic designer, I am responsible for the visual development of various assignments during the collaboration that began in 2016 and has continued ever since. The work is usually preceded by a joint brainstorming and direction-finding process; starting from the current client's materials, I develop the graphic concept and detailed appearance of the clothing or promotional product.

My tasks range from coordinating patterns, branding, colors, and surfaces, through visual designs to creating graphic materials for production. If there is no established identity, I build a consistent visual direction from the available elements; in the case of FKG, I designed a new logo and a complete identity.

The design decisions
The main question in every work is how to transfer the character of a brand onto clothing or objects in a way that is not a simple logo placement. Graphic elements must work together with the cut, material, proportions of the product and the chosen manufacturing technology.

In the case of a ready-made identity, I translate its rules and atmosphere to the new interface. In the case of incomplete starting material, the visual system must be built from the existing logo, colors and the company's activities. The different products then become independent, yet interconnected elements of the same direction.

The solution in practice
During the collaboration, solutions of different scales and character were created. For Bellozzo and Szamos, workwear that matched the existing brand identity was created, for Lupus Consulting, iSolution and Jázmin confectionery, independent clothing product lines and branding applications, and for FKG, a new logo and complete brand identity was created.

The clothing tasks included T-shirts, polo shirts, shirts, sweaters, hoodies, softshell jackets, aprons and caps, as well as full-surface printed technical sportswear. The system also extended to promotional gifts, including notebooks, mugs, towels, flags, Rubik's cubes, fridge magnets, badges, lanyards and card holders.

The essence of the ongoing cooperation since 2016 is that with each new task, a different brand, target group, and production situation must be understood, and then a consistent, feasible visual solution must be developed from these.
